Happy Monday folks. I hope you all had a great weekend, I know we definitely did in the Shallow Side camp. Fantastic shows and lots of friendly faces is good for the moral. Last night, however, was very interesting and it took teamwork to make the dream work.
A couple hours before show time it comes a pretty fierce storm and the power goes out. It was out all night long so we ended up plugging the PA system into our bus to run the show. It was dark and hot inside, but the show still went on as planned. Those that tuned in to our Sunday night Live feed probably know that us and Never Say Die were working on some songs together. We had rehearsal for a couple hours before the set and we played all together on stage for what was later called NeverSide.... I guess that works. We basically came together and learned each other's songs and a few covers and just ran with it.
Those guys are extremely talented and super nice people, even though they are Canadian, they still are a great bunch of guys and a blast to tour with and to share the stage with them night in and night out.
Yesterday was a great example of how teamwork can make a huge impact on a situation. It was the core of what we put on stage with NeverSide, and it was a factor in helping the show run smoothly even though the power was out the entire time. It might even help us out in daily life if we use teamwork more often. Let's all try to rally together and help one another, use our abilities to make a difference in other people's lives and one step at a time we will make the world a better place. Cheers y'all!
